Hi, I'm Abby and  Melbourne, Australia is where i call home.

 I live in big 70's style house  with my boyfriend,  and our 2 dogs, Kenobi and Winnie.

By day i work a 9-5, where i day dream about all the things i could be sewing and creating. I love all things vintage, especially the 40's and 50's.

I was taught sewing in high school briefly, making a toy football and  tracksuit pants that were too small,  and to be honest  i really did take to sewing. Fast forward to the end of my 20's and i become obsessed and haven't stopped since. Thanks to my mum, i picked it up even quicker.

Not content and not  being able to buy the patterns to create the dresses i dreamed of, i decided to start drafting my own patterns. Which in turn lead me to start and launch my own independant sewing pattern company, Bluegingerdoll.

May 1st 2013 saw the  release of the first of many  Bluegingerdoll sewing patterns, Billie Jean.

Bluegingerdoll patterns are vintage inspired sewing patterns, designed for the modern woman.

Taking inspiration from an era that celebrated the female figure, the designs are flattering, and accentuate all the right curves, on all figures.

Created with the everyday women in mind the designs are versatile, comfortable and practicable, with an added touch of vintage glamour. They also have the ability to be worn through all seasons, day or night, and suit a variety of fabrics.

Each design enables you to be able to create your own gorgeous vintage inspired garment, with clear and easy to follow instructions.

They are also easily adapted for you to experiment and add your own individual touch, for a completely one off garment.

So join me in my new sewing pattern company  adventure and for everything sewing and vintage related..... and a few things in between!
