Billie Jean in black

I thought it would be fun to have a series of blogs posts throughout the pre- sale, where i can  show all of my Billie Jean's that I have sewn up and am currently sewing!

You will get to see the versatility of this dress pattern, how it easily adapts to all sorts of fabrics.. and in saying this i am planning a post with some  recommended  fabric choices  for Billie Jean.

So to kick of this series, here is one of my  Billie Jean dress samples, the dress 2 version of the pattern  and probably one of my favourites, as well. I plan on wearing this beauty to an upcoming friends wedding.

This fabric is some kind of .......um  ok i have no idea, some sort of sateen blend type fabric.

I made this version, not too long ago, but i have totally forgotten what the fabric is, but who cares i think it looks ace!

The fabric has just the right amount of weight in it, for the neckline.

And whatever the fabric is, it is in love with the skirt gathers and the in seam pockets.

Billie Jean, dress 2 has the perfect twirl factor.

I love the sweet back neckline on the dress.

I love this Billie Jean sample, a fancy  night out dress - that still looks girly and fun!

Stay tuned for more Billie Jeans, I have made up a heap! I am totally addicted to my own pattern, and you will be too!  - not biased at all :)

Remember you can pick up your own Billie Jean sewing pattern, on the WEBSITE, ETSY OR CRAFTSY - Pre- sale runs through till the 15th May 2013.
